Friday Concert - Gill Allen

Gill Allen was born and raised in southern England moving to New Zealand in 1985. Gill’s passion for music started on the piano at age 9 and she later adopted the guitar for song writing & performance. She embraces a variety of music styles and more recently has gained a love of folk and bluegrass since the coming together of “Burgess & Allen.” Gill completed work on her debut album ‘Colour Outside the Lines’ at the end of 2014. Her compositions are a crafted blend of expressive soft rock and stirring ballads; the cover and booklet are self designed, reflecting her professional art training and her love of painting. Gill is currently working on her second album “Crystal in the Breeze” for planned release in 2018/19.
