Following extensive community consultation and deliberations as part of the Long Term Plan 2024-2044, Horowhenua District Council is changing the opening hours across all of its Cultural and Community Centres and Libraries.

Council Offices & Facilities Closure - Friday 13 October 2023

For the first time ever, the Horowhenua District Council team are taking the day away from our normal 8 to 5’s to dive into some important planning, prioritisation and team-building stuff. Our offices and facilities will be closed on Friday 13 October. This includes the aquatic centre, community centres/libraries, and main office.

We’re starting a new chapter by making Horowhenua libraries fine-free. On Friday 1 July existing fines will be wiped and no further overdue fines will be applied.
