Te Takeretanga o Kura-hau-pō and Shannon Library will be closed on Thursday 25 April for ANZAC Day.
This event has been cancelled, in response to the Ministry of Health measures currently in place to limit the potential spread of COVID-19.
As an award winning artist, Gill’s vibrant acrylic paintings are full of expression and energy, lately exploring the effects of light on her favourite subjects which are definitely flowers. High contrast flowers on a dark background which make them really pop. Other favourite subjects represented are reflections, capturing high realism, and abstract art, which allows for expression and movement using colour. Gill has taken part in many national competitions, including at the New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts, Paraparaumu Rotary Art Show, and has included invitational exhibits elsewhere in New Zealand. She really enjoys this whole process of exhibiting alongside fellow artists. Her artwork has sold internationally, including work by commission. Gill enjoys offering her work to be sold for charity at times also, always a positive process. Enjoy the artwork!
