The Highlands of Papua New Guinea. A location steeped in adventure. Ancients tribal traditions living in the dense rain forests with wild tales of cannibalism and swift vengeance. Six million out of the seven million population live in remote parts of the country in tribes, living a self-sustainable, natural lifestyle untouched by money, electricity and any modern conveniences. My time in the Highlands was intrepid, memorable and very challenging for so many reasons. Each tribe has his own traditional costume made from the local plants, birds, animals, shells, mud and pigments of the land.
