Parihaka, Taranaki, New Zealand. The home of non-violence and passive resistance with a spiritual legacy of living in harmony with the land and all humanity. Our paths crossed and we were blessed to be invited to stay and spend time with Maata, the Kaitaki (Gaurdian) of the Te Niho o Te Atiawa Meeting House and her whanau at Parihaka. A Raukura (white albatross feather), the symbol of peace at Parihaka and the white rose came together for a very special series of photographs.
Fundraising for Women's Refuge. A women's organisation for women and their children, here to help prevent and stop family harm in New zealand. Proceeds will help fund programmes for women and children who have experienced family harm.
