Learn new skills and build confidence in mobile devices, for free!
Libraries Horowhenua, in partnership with Digital Inclusion Alliance Aotearoa are offering free, four part courses to help seniors and our community use digital technology. These courses offer small group hands on learning in a relaxed environment.
Smartphone Basics is a beginners level course for those who want to learn more about their smartphones, and how to use them.
Delivered over 4 x 2 hour sessions, lessons will cover:
- Intro to your Smartphone: Learn the basics about your device, including set up, knowing our operating system, settings basics, and gestures.
- Intro to Apps: Learn about what apps are, how to get them, and some useful apps to start with.
- Using your Camera: Learn about how to use your smartphone's camera, a very handy tool!
- Useful Apps & Apps of your Choice: We will cover apps that students would like to know more about.
Offered over 4 weeks, in easy 2 hour sessions.
