LOCAL Job Hub

A dedicated space within Te Takeretanga o Kura-hau-pō, the LOCAL Job Hub is one of the ways Mayors Taskforce For Jobs (MTFJ) engages with our community and supports our social services and their clients.

The space allows rangatahi and anyone seeking employment in the community to learn more about employment opportunities and pathways to employment through a range of resources.

With five computers, a place to meet and hear about the job seeker’s goals, and a soon-to-arrive sound proof pod for interviews, this is a great space for self-led job seeking and facilitating employment opportunities.

While the space won’t be staffed full-time, the MTFJ team, library staff and the MSD work brokers will have a roster for times they are available to provide job seeker support. This will also be a great space to run training sessions for small groups.
