On Saturday 6th October in the main space, the Central Daffodil Group will be holding their Late Daffodil Show in Te Takeretanga o Kura-hau-pō. Members of the group will come from as far away as Eltham and Hawera, Hunterville and Bunnythorpe, Whitby and Miramar.
From 8am on Saturday morning they will be busy vasing their prize daffodil blooms. At 10am the stewards and judges will deliberate on which collections and single blooms are worthy of awards. The public will be able to watch this process.
Members will be available to answer any queries about growing daffodils and how the flowers are judged when so many look perfect.
The show will close to the public at 3pm.
